Change of Venue---Back to the Badlands
When we started to plan this trip, we sought out advice in travel forums
and RV forums and asked how long we should stay in each place. Many
suggested that the Badlands be merely a drive-thru and the Black Hills
be a much longer stay.
We loved the Black Hills and all it had to offer. We did everything we wanted to do. However, our 36 hours in the Badlands was not enough. We want more of the hikes and sharp geological features, and most important, HEAT. Temps in the Black Hills have been in the 60s during the day and 40s at night--too cold to really enjoy the outdoors.
So, we are headed back to the Badlands to find summer again!
