Wall Drug, Wall, South Dakota

Another tourist trap you encounter is Wall Drug. Supposedly, they survived the depression by offering Free Ice Water to Tourists. Even though they still provide free water, we were unable to find that in the maze of souvenirs, gift shops, tacky statues, and a detour at the frosted donut stand. A giant animated T-Rex even jumps out of the wall, much to the horror of our kids!

The town of Wall is meant to look like an old western town, and like any other tourist trap, has no shortage of souvenirs, bars, and small restaurants. It was a fun and quick stop—we can check it off the list!
